Artist Bosses helping Artist Bosses!

“Making it” as an artist is damn hard! It can often feel like a never ending quest for approval.

Like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, we believe you have had the power within you to succeed, all along! We’ll help you get there, not just with space, but also with our programs and resources. Space Space revolution is run by a small group of Theatre-Entrepreneur/Artist-Bosses. We are like Home Depot for Artists. You can do it, we can help!

Our People

Vikki Velenosi

AboutVikki.jpg

In 2012, I opened a rehearsal space out of my living room. It started a simple project to help out some friends (and myself.) It turned into a life-long commitment to support artist bosses in Canada. The current stat is that 3% of Canadian performing artists make a living from their art. The current culture of artists is perpetually underemployed, perpetually undervalued and perpetually underpaid. F THAT!
This is where it stops. This is where we say “no.” This is the revolution.
Art elevates the vibrations of the planet and it is our responsibility, as artists, to carve out the necessary space to go to work.

Murphy Diggon

I love building sandcastles. To me, that is what is at the core of storytelling. I work in arts management because I want to be in the position that is helpful to everyone. I love supporting the work of fellow artists. I work in the arts because I get bored easily and every new project is a completely new experience. Mostly, I work in the arts for those moments when the sandcastle is built; It looks good, it feels good, the team feels this and there is nothing better than showing off a damn good sandcastle.

Murphy is a lover of anime and organization. She lives in Toronto with her partner and contributes her talents to many arts organizations throughout the GTA and beyond.
